  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and mix with melted butter.
  3. Add the baking soda and a pinch of salt to the banana mixture.
  4. Combine sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract into the mixture.
  5. Incorporate the flour gently until just mixed.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for better sweetness and flavor. Consider adding nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
