A classic BBQ brisket recipe featuring rich flavors and tender texture, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 57 lbs brisket
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • BBQ sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the brisket.
  4. Place the brisket in the smoker or on the grill, fat side up.
  5. Smoke the brisket for about 1.5 hours per pound, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C).
  6. Occasionally spray the brisket with beef broth to keep it moist.
  7. Once done, remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain and serve with BBQ sauce.

Notes

Choose a well-marbled brisket for better flavor and tenderness. Let the meat rest after cooking to keep it juicy.
