Juicy grilled burgers with rich flavors, topped with melted cheese and your choice of toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, for toppings
  • Condiments of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until just combined. Divide into four equal patties.
  3. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip. Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and grill for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked to desired doneness.
  4. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for the last minute of cooking.
  5. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, and any condiments you prefer.
  6. Serve hot.

Notes

Use an 80% lean to fat ratio for juicy burgers. Don’t over-mix the meat to keep the burgers tender.
