A lightened-up version of the classic tuna melt, filled with wholesome ingredients and loaded with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon chopped red onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Whole grain bread or English muffin
  • Sliced tomato
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the drained tuna with Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to broil.
  3. Spread the tuna mixture onto slices of whole grain bread or an English muffin evenly.
  4. Top with sliced tomato and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the prepared sandwiches under the broiler for about 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
