  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon key lime zest
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish to form the crust.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and key lime zest until well combined.
  4. Pour the filling over the crust and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until set.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Cut into bars and dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh key limes. Store bars in the refrigerator for up to a week.
