Delicious and customizable loaded baked potatoes, perfect for a hearty meal or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes, then poke holes in them with a fork.
  3. Bake the potatoes directly on the oven rack for 45-60 minutes, or until tender.
  4. Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  5. Cut the potatoes open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork.
  6. Top each potato with sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add a pat of butter on top if desired.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
