  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Fresh fruits (e.g., strawberries, kiwi, passionfruit) for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat the egg whites.
  4. Fold in the cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet, forming a circle about 8 inches in diameter.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let it cool completely inside.
  7. Whip the cream until soft peaks form and spread it on top of the pavlova.
  8. Top with fresh fruits and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure the mixing bowl is clean for whipping egg whites. Use aged egg whites for best results.
