A delightful summer dessert featuring ripe peaches in a buttery, flaky galette crust.

  • 2 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 prepared pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
  • Additional sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Arrange the peach mixture in the center of the crust, leaving about 2 inches around the edges.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the peaches.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk, then brush this mixture over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle additional sugar over the crust.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden and the peaches are bubbly.
  9. Let the galette cool slightly before serving.

Notes
