A fun and delicious Cajun shrimp boil packed with spices, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, deveined
  • 4 ears corn, halved
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all the ingredients and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add salt, Cajun seasoning, bay leaves, and lemon halves to the pot.
  3. Once the water is boiling, add the baby potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. Next, add the corn and sausage. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, which should take around 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Drain everything and serve hot on a newspaper-covered table or platter.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning to suit your taste. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
