  • 1 pound sponge cake or ladyfingers
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding or whipped cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare the berries by slicing strawberries and keeping other berries whole.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with the sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In a trifle dish or individual cups, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of sponge cake or ladyfingers.
  4. Add a layer of berries, followed by a layer of pudding or whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers until the dish is filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.
