- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chocolate frosting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a large sheet pan.
- Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Melt the butter, water, and cocoa powder in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool completely before frosting with chocolate frosting if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of brewed coffee to the batter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
